Gameplay

The game opposes the Human Defensive Force againt the Nature Aggressive Force into and around a human character's body.

The purpose of the defensive force is to defend the body against the aggressors, especially the vital organs. The purpose of the aggressive force is to break into the body and destroy the organs, in order to finally kill the character.

Each side owns some basic buildings at beginning. The player has to develop and protect them so that he can win.

GUI

The GUI looks like any RTS game. The style should also look organic, biologic.

Time

Time in the virtual world's game spends faster as time in real life, obviously. The most important thing about time is how fast the player controlling the Human Force will get new resources, which happens when the character eats. During the night, he won't get any, so maybe that's not the best moment to start an attack, or maybe it is for the Defensive Force.

One minute in the real world means 3 hours in the virtual world. That means, a whole day will last 8 minutes, during which the character will eat 3 times, at different intervals and with a random part about when exactly he will eat.

The time evolution can be seen by the clock indicating which time it is in the virtual world, and with the background color which is darker during the night and brighter during the day.

Configuration

Many configurations parameters can be customized by the player, to fit his machine and his needs :

Visual

  • Low-poly models distance (near - medium - far)
  • Display dynamic units preview (yes - no)

Audio

  • Play music (yes - no)
  • Music volume (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10)
  • Play effects (yes - no)
  • Effects volume (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10)

General

  • Language (English - French)

Metabolsim Engine

The Metabolsim Engine is designed to be quite generic, so that in the future, it may be extracted to a standalone project, and usable for any RTS game.

Coding Rules

To keep a uniformity all along the code, very strict Coding Rules are defined. Cyberwan defines them, and everyone coding on this project should respect them, or be kicked very hard :-) So say we all !
